The houses are painted in pastel colours, making the whole town look like something out of a children's TV show, and the beaches are perfectly peaceful and sheltered by the high walls and cliffs. Boats wait in lines at the harbour, and are almost in the shadow of the incredible St Catherine's Fort. You'll be able to watch the sun rise and set as you walk along the beach, or take a day trip to Caldey Island complete with its small chocolate factory, old priory and gift shop. Learn about the Monks of Caldey Island, or sit in on a monastic service in the island's Abbey Church. Many of Tenby's buildings, including the Imperial Hotel are built into the town's medieval walls. Set high above the beach, these buildings offer wonderful views of the surrounding coastline.
