The hotel is located opposite the Santa Lucia park, in the historical centre of Mérida. It is also located 3 blocks from the main square, the cathedral, the Montejo's House and other major tourist attractions. The hotel was founded at the end of the 19th century and has been remodeled respecting the historical elements as well, although introducing new features for the comfort of guests such as an air-conditioned lobby with 24-hour reception service, a swimming pool and a restaurant with breakfast service, lunch and dinner.
