Kastelholms castle and one of Finlands best & most beautiful golf course are within 25 km from Mariehamn, close by the castle you find restaurant Smakbyn owned by Michael Björklund (famous chef of Sweden and Finland). On your way to the Kastelholm castle you find Chips factory, a very popular stop for families. Another popular place to visit is microbrewery Stallhagen and thier popular gastro pub. Åland offers lots of fun organised activities ideal for families (farms, fishing, Smart Park, wild animal park) to sports enthusiasts and for those wishing to enjoy an active stay. In Mariehamn its worth visiting Pommern, Åland Maritime Museum in the western harbour, where you find excellent restaurants ÅSS and Nautical or try one of the lovely bakeries.
